How long does professional carpet cleaning take?
Professional carpet cleaning takes an average of 1 – 3 hours. While onsite, our technicians will vacuum, remove stains, scrub and deodorise your carpet. Naturally, it will take us longer to clean larger spaces, spaces with furniture and spaces that are difficult to access. Extra services like spot removal and steam cleaning will also take our technicians longer as they require specialised equipment.
Will carpet cleaning remove all stains?
While professional carpet cleaning will leave your carpets fresh and clean, we cannot guarantee that we will completely remove all stains. Substances like wine, urine, feces, coffee, tea and even water can permanently stain your carpet. If you are unsure if we can remove a stain, feel free to ask our technicians while they are onsite so they can assess the stain individually.
How often should carpet be professionally cleaned?
Carpets should be cleaned every 12 – 18 months or as soon as they become stained. While your carpet may not look dirty, a professional clean will remove dirt and grime from your carpet. Well-cleaned carpets will also last longer and require less maintenance in the future. If your carpet has been stained recently, we recommend getting it cleaned as soon as possible to minimise the chances of permanent staining.
How long will it take for my carpets to dry?
It generally takes several hours for carpets to completely dry after they have been professionally cleaned. If you have nylon, acrylic or olefin carpets, you can expect them to dry in 1 – 5 hours. As wool carpets are made with a natural fibre, they may take up to 7 hours to fully dry. If you are unsure how long it will take your carpet to dry, feel free to ask our technicians while onsite.
Will professional carpet cleaning kill fleas?
Professional carpet cleaning will kill fleas, though it is not suitable as a complete flea control treatment. During our carpet cleaning, we scrub your carpets with scalding hot water that will kill any larvae lurking in your carpet: including fleas. However, we recommend consulting a pest-removal service for flea problems, as they can provide you with longer-lasting results.
